Professor Seiamak Bahram, a leading immunologist and director of multiple research units in Strasbourg, has been reappointed as a Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) in 2025. Professor Seiamak Bahram, Head of the Immunology Department at the Strasbourg University Hospitals, Director of the Joint Research Unit 1109 “Molecular ImmunoRheumatology” (INSERM/University of Strasbourg), and Director of the Interdisciplinary Thematic Institute (ITI) for Precision Medicine, Transplantex NG, has once again been appointed Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) as part of the 2025 selection campaign.

Already a laureate of this prestigious distinction from 2013 to 2018, this renewed appointment reflects the national recognition of his scientific excellence. Professor Bahram continues his research on the genetics and pathophysiology of the human immune system, a critical field for understanding and treating numerous immune-related diseases.
