Welcome to INSERM Unit 1109, a joint INSERM-University of Strasbourg laboratory with broad interest in genetics of the immune system, immuno-oncology and immuno-virology as well as transplant-related disorders. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the art technologies, ranging from imaging, multiparameter flow cytometry, to WES, WGS, RNAseq etc. allowing AI-based multi-omics studies.

MICA gene studied in more than 1,500 patients who had received a kidney transplant as well as in their donors. Sequence analyzes of the MICA gene show that when the recipient and the donor present a different version of the gene, the survival of the graft is reduced.
